Global Covenant of Mayors in Canada

The Global Covenant of Mayors Canada is a collaboration between the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, ICLEI Canada, the Global Covenant of Mayors Secretariat and the International Urban Cooperation Project supported by funding from the European Union. The initiative combines two leading domestic climate programs, the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program and Building Adaptive and Resilient Communities (BARC), with the leading global climate program. Together we can further advance Canadian local climate action by adding value, opportunities and streamlined support for members.

La Convention mondiale des maires pour le climat et l’énergie du Canada est une collaboration entre la Fédération canadienne des municipalités, ICLEI Canada, le secrétariat de la Convention mondiale des maires pour le climat et l’énergie et le projet International Urban Cooperation Project soutenu financièrement par L’Union européenne. L’initiative combine deux programmes d’importance nationale, soit le Programme des partenaires pour le climat (PPC) et le programme Bâtir des communautés adaptées et résilientes (BARC), avec le plus important programme climatique international. Ensemble, nous pouvons faire avancer l’action climatique locale grâce à la valeur ajoutée, les opportunités et le soutien aux membres.
